See the dark spot just to the left of center in the photo? That's the route the fire took on its way from the powerlines to David and Lee's house. Their house is over the hill and back down a ways. Not very far as the crow flies. It still wasn't looking too bad yet, and I was cautiously optimistic the house had survived.
